modo 401 Dynamic Parenting
We all know modo 401 is an amazing 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering application. You can create lifelike 3D models, and animations of just about anything you want. But what those things that you think are simple, yet really more complex. modo's enhanced parenting and rigging capabilities now allow you to create complex object animation. This first training course in our new 3DGarage.com "Lessons" series will focus on Dynamic Parenting. You'll begin by building a robotic arm, along with pose-able, grasping claws. You'll setup a dual inverse kinematics rig to control the robotic arm, and learn to employ channel links for easy slider control to grasp objects. Then, you'll build a game cube and learn how to set it up for dynamic parenting. You'll then put both the cube and arm together to create one complete animation. This course is just about 3 hours in length, at high quality 1280 x 720 resolution. Movies play on your computer with Quicktime H.264 compression. Windows media or VLC can play these on the PC as well as Quicktime for Windows. The "Lessons" series will be spot specific tutorials on features in 3D, such as dynamic parenting, UV Maps, Lighting, Cameras, Rendering, and more.
