UPDATE to the updates for the MODO 701 Course...

I'm not quite there yet, and have personal modo training the next five days, but I'll be working on these
when I can in the evenings. Many are already in the can. So no release this week, but I wanted to let you know
what you can expect. These are all going to be released at no cost to anyone who already owns the
701 Signature Course from 3DGarage.com. If I can finish the current section I'm on, the release should be before
the end of this month. Don't quote me - people love to quote me with "you said." But, now that so many other things are completed (such as my new book on Photography Composition for Peachpit Publishing) this extended courseware is the primary focus.

Here's what's coming -

Project Five: Constraints, Topology & Cloth
59_Project4_DynamicCloth
60_Project4_DynamicConstraints (camera to path)
61_Project4_DynamicForces
62_Project5_TopologyPrimer
63_Project5_Multiresolution
64_Project5_TopologyUses
65_Project5_TopologyRendering

Project Six: Fixin' a Rig
60_Project6_RigginingPrimer
61_Project6_BiPedRig
62_Project6_CarRig1
63_Project6_CarRig2
64_Project6_CarRig3

Lighting & Environments & Rendering
65_Product Lighting (why lighting here?)
66_Interior Lighting
67_Environments
68_RenderPasses
69_RenderingVideo
70_RenderingPrint
71_A_FewTidBits
72_FinalThoughs

Actually there is new content, there’s a single zip named NEW_ProjectFive
I didn’t think there was anything at first glance, but it’s right at the top of the list.
Having said that, it’s quite disappointing. 6 videos:
    59-Dynamic Cloth (6min51)
    60-Dynamic Anchors (5min49)
    61-Dynamic Constraints 1 (8min20)
    62-Dynamic Constraints 2 (8min03)
    63-Topology Primer (6min52)
    64-Using Topology (10min50)
    That’s it.

However according to the 701 Courseware link, we should have been waiting for the following:

    Project Six: Fixin’ a Rig
    60_Project6_RigginingPrimer
    61_Project6_BiPedRig
    62_Project6_CarRig1
    63_Project6_CarRig2
    64_Project6_CarRig3

    Lighting & Environments & Rendering
    65_Product Lighting (why lighting here?)
    66_Interior Lighting
    67_Environments
    68_RenderPasses
    69_RenderingVideo
    70_RenderingPrint
    71_A_FewTidBits

No offence intended Dan Ablan, but these 6 new tutorials really feel like they were slapped together in a rush; a kind of “This’ll shut them up”. Of course I doubt that’s actually the case, but the thought did cross my mind while watching.

Having first purchased these tutorials on May 24 with the promise of missing content to be provided soon, it’s pretty disappointing.
I must admit though, when you provide a service/product, and are paid upfront, it becomes very tough to find the momentum to finish it, given there’s no more reward up for grabs.

Really hope we see this finalized very soon, especially given Modo seems to be on an approx. 1 year release system. Would hate to see the new version come out, when training for the current is barely complete, if at all.

Again, please don’t take offence, but just understand the frustration and practicality of it all…
All of June, July, August, Sept, and half of October… That’s pretty intense

Have been waiting a long time for the complete course but was hopeful that after receiving an email saying more “new” files had been added, that the waiting was coming to an end. WRONG, all I ended up with was a link to the files that I have already downloaded, no new content. This is beyond a joke, the next version of modo will come out before this training is finished.

Got a mail with a link to update 701 but all there was in that link was a lot of “false” entries. Is this a joke or what?

I wonder if this will ever be finished :(
I know you’re busy and all, but perhaps the release should have been postponed until the whole course was finished. That’s just my opinion though

    Hey Dan—
    How’s it coming?
